Hello everyone, I am happy to have found your sight, I am 25 years old, never had kids, or been prego. I am sexually active (with my Bf), and when my period comes around its hell for us, with the no sex. aside from that I have been using tampons for years and always wore them to long and over night, all very bad for me and put me at tss risk. I was going to start purchasing the expensive organic cotton tampons from IHerb, but I started looking at the diva cup, and thought hmmm maybe this is time for me to try something new and save some money.

Im on day 3 of my menstrual cycle, and yesterday I went to go buy a diva cup at the local CVS, well they did not have it so i settled for the instead soft cups. I was excited to try it out, and possibly have a little fun with the BF ;) if all worked out well. So the insertion was a breeze, I noticed it made me feel like i had a tampon in that was full and needed to be changed but thought maybe i just need to get used to feeling it there. I left it in for 5 hours then went to the bathroom to Pee and I guess i popped the seal because it released as i squeezed my mussels to pee. I was a little grossed out and worried about me flexing those muscles at other times when i wasn't over the tolite. Needless to say later that night my Bf and I tryed out having sex, and it does work, no mess, but had to be careful, not all the usual stuff we do could be done, but we did it! I love the no mess part. After we went to bed around 2 o-clock i still couldnt sleep, and i was pretty crappy. I figured it was from the cup, so i checked it, and there was barley any blood, so i rinsed, re set it, and tried to go back to sleep... no luck. so i grabbed a pantie liner and took the soft cup out. I have yet to replace it, thank god iv got a light flow, I know of a place that sells divas localy, but i want to make sure i invest in the right thing for my body.

I Ride horses and do yoga, My pelvic mussels are very strong, so that makes me think the instead soft cups arent for me and there ring is way to large. I felt like it was as far as i could get it positioned behind my pubic bone, also when i took it out it was pretty pain full. I tryed to compare it to the nuva ring which i have used along time ago, and never felt that or had pain from it, But maybe i didnt have the cup in all the way? I know that the cups and the insteads are completly diffrent, Iv done quite a bit of reading the last few days, and think i will invest in a cup.

So here are my concerns, I need something that will be able to be soft enough not to press on my bladder or press on my uterus and cause discomfort. It needs to be able to stand my crazy strong vajays strength, and I am a pretty light bleeder except for one day of my period. When i checked to see how far in my uterus is today I used my middle finger which is 3 inches in length, i got almost all the way inside before i felt it, i would say Its 2 1/2- 3 inches in before i can touch it. The sizing chart was confusing for me to read, but i think im leaning toawrds a Small ladycup, or possibly the irish cup, but that one maybe to soft. Which cup should i pick small or large depending on how far up my uterus is, and what stiffness, i am leaning towards a small, and a medium stiffness. Any help or suggestions will be greatly apprishiated!!! Thanks for reading. :)

Also include Meluna classic or even Meluna sport into your selection. They are less flexible, so should be able to withhold horseback riding and yoga.

I though classic would be uncomfortable to wear, but once inserted, I could not even feel them.

I am leaning towards getting a meluna now, but can not deiced on the small or medium, I took there test thing and it suggested medium, but also a small would work. I also dont want to get the classic if its to hard, but i dont want to get the soft one and have it leak, seeing as they dont offer a 6 month return policy like other company's. This is a weird period for me also i have like no flow, just minnimal spotting, im guessing i never noticed becasue i always just kept a tampon in... cant wait to order a cup, but there are to many choices... i also took a look at the naturcup, they offer a 6 month return policy, and so does a few other companys. Im liking the cups with fewer ridges and edges, the smooth ones like the ladycup and the meluna are a bit cheaper also. Think i will take the dive for a meluna first, but small or medium, and soft or classic? or should i buy one of both in two sizes?

I just ordered a Meluna XL classic and started wearing it yesterday. I really don't even feel it when it's inside me, and I don't think I'm athletic or have a massively strong vagina, even though I've done kegels before. I mean if you really believe your vagina is super strong, then sporty may be a good choice for you.

BTW
Some online stores sell a Meluna Starter Set, which will let you buy two sizes for only a few dollars more. That way you can try them both and decide which one you prefer.

And
I don't really understand the chart here either, tbh. I mostly used this chart, read around and watched Youtube.

Also has anybody checked out the lily cup, or the Femmycycle cup, Miacup?

Por_que_no has both the Femmycycle and the Lilycup.

Yup, I have both but have so far only been able to take the Lily on dry runs (cycle is late, as always...due to travel I may not even see it for another week). Femmycycle is great for high capacity but it doesn't sound like you need that...if your cervix is high enough to fit the Diva you might be more interested in the lily.

I just bought Two small Meluna cups, one soft and one classic, guess they also offer a 14 day no questions asked return, but you have to write a letter, no biggy, plus i got them for a whole 40$ for two!! pretty stoked, thats what i would have paid for one diva localy. ill let you know what happens when i get them :)

My soft Meluna is very comfy to wear, but leaks a tiny bit when I go running, while the classic is perfect for exercising. I'd be very interested to hear if you experience them in a similar way or not, so looking forward to your thoughts.

The small Fleurcup is firm enough to pop open very easily and form a tight seal, while being soft enough that I don't feel it once in (also a sensitive bladder). But be aware of the grip rings and harder stem - these irritate me so for now I only wear it at night, until I master removal (new user), then I plan to file them down a bit like some other users do.

I use mine inside out with the stem trimmed and it's awesome.
