Trying out my new Sckoon today and am not confident it's seated... right? It's super stretchy stem seems to hang out, which I don't think is right? I honestly can't feel the cup itself, and I believe the cramping I'm feeling is more from my first heavy flow day...
It was tricky to get inserted because it's SO soft. (I'm a former Diva Large user) I use a C-fold, but am finding this won't work with this soft of a cup? And I can't imagine the 7-fold, S-fold or Punchdown would work either? (Just because the softer cups are a little tricky to get to pop open). So, what's worked for other Sckoon users? Which folds are best with a Sckoon?

Cheers!
Adrienne

Hi, have you tried holding the cup under cold water before inserting? I even dipped my soft Meluna in icewater for a few mins before inserting it, to make it a bit more rigid.

I can't comment on folds because I used the c fold when I tried mine and it did open. Just wanted to say that the stem sticking out is fine as long as the cup is comfortable to wear.

I have used 7 fold mostly, but as long as I have an airhole positioned properly in the fold, it opens easily. I do occasionally have to reinsert since I don't have it down to a science. Once inserted, I try let air into the cup near the entrance before positioning it further in. And, yeah, the stem sticking out is not an issue.

The cold water tip is a good one, too.

The punchdown fold has actually been my best with that cup. Half diamond might also work (the more complicated the fold, the easier it pops open).

I don't have a Sckoon, but from my experience with other soft cups, I would recommend labia, half diamond or origami fold (in that order), run under cold water, one hole in the crease of the fold and insert facing down.

The "best fold" is the one that works best for you. ;o) Try flipping it so the folded part faces the other way (left instead of right, up instead of down, etc.) And TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Most mis-placed cups are because the person was in a hurry and didn't take the time to relax and get it in right.

There was a post somewhere and I don't remember which one anymore, but basically, for a soft cup such as this the "labia" fold works best and it worked for me (I also use Sckoon). When you insert, make sure the folded side is facing back.
