I'm a longtime lurker and recent cup convert, and the information I've found here has been invaluable - thank you all!

I recently ordered a soft MeLuna cup (I love my Ladycup, but it's a bit too long during my heaviest flow days when my cervix is super low). On the rim of the MeLuna, right by the seam, there's a very sticky spot that feels different from the rest of the cup. It's so tacky that if I press my finger on the spot, I can actually leave my fingerprint in the plastic. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Let MeLuna or the seller know. They will most likely replace the cup. MeLuna's customer service is highly praised here. I doubt you'll have any issues either.

Thanks! Teresa from Feminine Wear got back to me immediately, and she's asking MeLuna to send me a replacement.

I had the same concern when I got mine in the mail a few days ago. But after asking about it and being told to search it on here, I learned it was common so I didn't contact Feminine Wear about it, and deleted my post.... After reading that you did, and they felt it required a replacement, maybe I should have.
Here is a link to where another member asked the same question. It was the answer and photo description of why it's normal that made me not contact the seller..

All MeLunas have that little mark on the rim, where the plastic is injected into the cup. Some are barely noticeable but others can flake or seem sticky.
The newer cups that are delivered to me seem to be fine but they may be the odd one from older stock that needs to be replaced.
If you have any concerns then please contact me or MeLuna for a replacement.

No Problem, I hope that's sorted now. MeLuna did email me this information, though, which may help anyone else:

Please put the cup 3 minutes in boiled water. The spot will go. This is the injection point.

If you scroll down to "What happens during production?" it explains about the little circle on the rim.
