Hello!

This my first time to use a menstrual cup. Last month I bought the Lunette model 1 since I have a low cervix. It's working pretty well though my cervix sets in the cup and can be a bit uncomfortable. Would the Sckoon since it's larger (the large cup) be a good fit? I am a mom of 3, low cervix with a heavy flow on two of the days. I'd like something to go around the cervix not pinch it in a since.

It sounds like you got a too-small cup. The large Sckoon might very well work better, but so might a large Lunette or Fleurcup.

I've heard that the sckoon is a lot more soft and comfortable. Even after three children I am hyper sensitive in that area.

Ah, if softness is required then I'd think of large Sckoon, Fleurcup, Si-Belle, Meluna Soft or Miacup.

Seconding the suggestion for a soft, wider, round bottomed cup that will have more capacity for your lower cervix such as a Large Fleurcup, Large Si-bell, Large Yuuki soft or XL Meluna soft. All the above suggestions are softer than your Small Lunette.

The Large Fleur, Si-bell, Yuuki and XL Meluna all hold 30mls to the airholes. The large Sckoon holds 30mls to the rim. To the rim the Large Fleur holds 35mls, about the same for Large Si-Bell, Large Yuuki 37mls to the rim and XL Meluna 42mls to the rim.

some of those might very well be too long if OP has a low cervix though... Only OP can tell that.

Of those, the large Lunette is a bit pointy compared to the others. And kinda stiff too. I love mine but often wonder if the large Fleur wouldn't be more comfortable.

I have a relatively new (purchased within the last year) large Yuuki and large Lunette. The Yuuki is MUCH stiffer than the Lunette. Just wanted to clarify for the OP. :)

Although Yuuki has recently "re-introduced" their "Soft" offering now. So now they can be ordered in the firm (which you have, and is truly very firm) and the soft (which will be softer than a Large Lunette).

thanks, I meant the new 'Soft' Yuuki that they reintroduced this year which is softer than the Large Lunette and probably softer than the small Lunette. But yes, the 'Classic' Yuuki is stiffer than the small and large Lunettes. :)

Of all the ones suggested, I'd pick large Si-bell or Sckoon cup. I think the Si-bell may be a smidge softer and the Sckoon a tad shorter, so it's up to you what matters most. Have you seen this page already ? http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/

I was thinking the Sckoon cup due to size since it's short with a large opening with a less pronounced ridge. Anyone tried it?

I prefer the Sckoon over the Si-Bell. Sckoon is more comfortable for me due to shape and the texture is smoother, less peach-like? The large Sckoon is 45mm wide X 50mm long and the Si-Bell is 47/52 (not including stems). The 2mm extra in diameter and width made a big difference to me. But then I'm quite a bit more sensitive than average.

OH! Thank you for the link. Looking at it now.

My cervix went from high to low and and ouchie after the 3 day birth of a very large baby. Lunette had the right capacity and was easy to use but a bit painful. I went to Meluna soft, which is perfect for me, the large size is excellent and I have a couple other sizes but i like large best. I use the kind without any stem at all and its very comfortable for me, easy to remove. Sometimes it is so soft its a bit tricky to put in, but then I just try having the cup fold face another side and it usually works. Can't live without the cup anymore!! Been using menstrual cups for a year now. Unbelievably amazing.

I bought the Sckoon cup in large. I love how easy it is to open and comfortable it is. It's super soft compared to Lunette in my opinion. I use the c-fold with Sckoon. With Lunette I had to use the punch down and really work it to get it right.

is the sckoon easier to open than the fleurcup? I find the fleurcup really hard to open....

I can send a 10% off link if you are going with the Sckoon cup.
