I've used a menstrual cup for the last year and a half. The Diva cup was too long, so I bought a small lunette (I might've been a lady cup, I can't remember, but I'm sure it's a lunette) which worked much better than the diva cup. It's still a tad long, and sits JUST inside of my labia. Nevertheless, it worked great --until the last few months.

The last few months it's just... made its presence known. Sometimes it feels like it slips down or tips over a little (it doesn't actually tip, though; when I check on it it is still at the proper angle, which for me is way to the right). This is especially problematic, because as I walk I can feel it, and it makes walking painful and awkward. It especially feels like it is going to slip out of my vagina when I sneeze or cough too hard, and also when I stand up after having sat for an hour or so (like, for a class.)

Is there anything I can do? I went on birth control recently (for cramps, not baby prevention), and my flow has decreased a lot, and also gotten thicker and clottier. Could it have to do with the fact that I'm bleeding less? But that doesn't make sense? Relp? I don't wanna go back to tampons, but at least with those I don't have to keep running to the bathroom every so often to shove it back up there...

Would a shorter, fatter cup help?

It's not necessarily the size. The small Lunette always felt like it was "trying to escape" from me too. I think it was the shape that did it. Compare measurements at and also compare side-by-side photos to see if another shape appeals to you more.

It could be that hbc has made your cervix lower, I think I've heard of that theory before. So you could try a shorter cup as per the charts measurments, but there's not much choice there so that'll most likely be a mini Meluna, or a similarly sized cup with a rounder bottom, such as a small Fleurcup.

have you tried turning your Diva inside out tos horten it and see if that makes a difference?

perhaps a similar length but with a round bottom like a small fleurcup or small si-bell or even a small meluna might be a an option if you don't need loads of capacity.

or you could look at a large meluna or a large fleurcup which both have rounded bottoms but a wider rim so it can sit around thr cervix rather than under it (especially so with the large fleurcup= good for lower cervix days)

I no longer use the Diva. I tried turning it inside out, and could not insert it that way at all. It wouldn't open and was super painful. Anyway, it would have to be more shorter than that to do any good.

ahh ok. I should add that my reasons for suggesting the large fleur even though it's longer than the small lunette is because I had to trim over the half the stems of my small lunette and small MCUK,but haven't had to trim any of my large fleur, I presume because the width allows it to sit deeper/around the cervix.
