Okay, so I bought a MeLuna soft medium from their website and it came pretty fast. There were no flaws that I could see. After testing it for a dry run, I realized it was amazing and basically my perfect cup! (For light days at least.. I usually use a Lunette small). Now here's the bad part...
There's a hole in the cup.. It's about twice the size of the holes at the top that help with suction, and they are about halfway on the side of the cup. I'm not sure how it got there, but since it's not the company's fault but rather mine, I'm sure they won't give me another one. Is it possible to fill or seal off the hole? I would really like to figure out a way to use this so I don't have to buy another one =/.. Because the hole is so big, my cup has completely lost it's power of suction.
Also, another question. How should I trim the stem on my Lunette? It's bothering me a bit and I can reach the cup without it. The directions say to use sharp scissors, but I've read about a lot of people whose cut stem causes irritation in the vagina. How can I round it out to not cause pain?

If you don't know how the hole got there, how can it be your fault? TPE is sturdy, you would know if it was caused by something you did.
I'd contact the company. I'm sure they'll give you another one.

After trimming the stem on a silicone cup with scissors, you can file the sharp edges down with a nail file (emery board).

Yeah, unless your dog chewed it something it sounds like there was a weakness in the plastic. Get it replaced.

Well I'm not exactly sure how it got there but I did drop a nail on it yesterday. However, I inspected it after the nail dropped and it was fine. Today, I checked again and saw the hole. I could infer that it's because of the nail but I'm not certain. Sorry for not clarifying

Cups are tough, they can sustain the pressure of a nail. Definitely send a picture of your cup to Meluna's customer service, they should send a replacement.

I don't think it would cause a hole in your cup even if you'd drop a hammer on it.

I use nail clippers after trimming the stem to get rid of the edges.

I think you should try contacting them and ask if they can send you another.

Yeah, companies usually punch a hole in samples that are not meant to be sold or actually used. I'm sure they'll replace it.

Haha yeah, those are so cute.
And also, just in case they don't replace it... Is there a way to seal off the hole?? Or like fill it up?

I really don't know if or where one could get TPE, that'd be something meluna would know about... I mean, you could use another material, like the paste they use in construction to seal tides and stuff, but I wouldn't put it in my vag, lol.

They don't need to know that do they ? But the simple fact that you did it with your nails... those cups are supposed to last for years, so that's not right.
