I don't want to cause any tears around it because I think it will eventually lead to it splitting open. Has anyone successfully made the holes bigger? How did you do it?

I've heard a hot needle or a piercing gun can do it.

I've used a drill with various sized bits but the silicone is so stretchy that it doesn't really make a bigger hole. Others have tried small scissors and body piercing tools with some degree of luck. I've seen hole punches as small as 2mm on ebay. Body piercing tools are readily available there too. Would piercing needles work? Gut feeling says that a hole punch (dermal or other) would work better.

FYI, the Miacup is the one with the largest holes and their site says they are 2mm. That's about 1/16" or a 12g body piercing tool.

Maybe not the best way to do it, but I used a toothpick and passed it through the holes a few times. No rips.
