Hi all.

So, how often do you continuous users clean your cup? I rinse mine after every dump, but I realized I should probably wash it, and wondered how often you wash yours.

In other news, I love cups, but am really annoyed I have to wear it all the time. Gr! But, I'm WAY better off than before I discovered cups. I can't imagine dealing with this situation with tampons and/or pads.

I wash mine at the end of each day (I wear pads to sleep)and after three months of use, I decided to bleach it out with peroxide since it had stained.

I rinse each time I empty, and boil it at the beginning of each period.

I rinse after I empty it and wash properly after my period.

Pardon my ignorance, but why do you wear it continuously, and not only during your period? Is there a benefit to doing so?

I am either very, very lightly bleeding, or I am "mudding," (brown, old blood discharge) as I call it, all month. I think it is because I switch birth control so often due to prescription complications that my body has a hard time adjusting to the hormone.

And in the month of December, I bled everyday for some reason. It is rather annoying.

Believe me, I'd rather not be a continuous use person, but it appears that's what my body signed me up for. Boo!

Ohh, I get ya. Yeah, I "mud" for about 5 days before my period actually starts...no bueno, for sure. I'll stop complaining about my nearly-2-weeks of cup use now. :\

I use the Divacup and Divawash combo, and I always give it a good wash after each dump. It just doesn't feel right to me to put it back in half clean, and it only takes the tiniest bit of wash to get mine squeaky(Half a pea amount).

I rinse after every empty, and boil before putting it back in its little bag for the next month.

I used to just rinse after every empty and then wash at the end of the cycle, then my older cup started getting a bit whiffy, so I started washing with soap after every empty, and things are muuuch better now. Should probably start boiling after every cycle again, too.
