I just want to say thanks to everyone who helped me out a while back while I tried to make heads or tails of all the different cups out there. You're awesome :D
I took a lot of the advice and ended up getting a large MeLuna, classic softness with a ball stem. When it arrived after the holidays I thought it might be too big, but I plowed ahead with a dry run anyways, which ended up being rather painful and awkward. However, my period showed up this morning so I tried again (much easier to get in than the dry run!) and almost immediately forgot about it. It's so comfortable! I felt it pressing against my bladder a little bit but that went away after 20 or so minutes - may have just needed to shift into position. I don't have any trouble getting it to pop open so far and other than a tiny bit of leaking first thing this morning it's working absolutely brilliantly. I am SO pleased!
I'm having a little difficulty removing it, but there's a learning curve for everything so I expect that will get easier. It takes a couple minutes of wrestling with the little ball stem to break the seal/get it far enough down to grab the bottom of the actual cup. That is my only difficulty so far, though :)
On to the suggestion... because this one does feel like it's on the larger and firmer end of what would be comfortable to me (although I really have nothing to compare it to, so we shall see) I kind of want to pick up a smaller and softer cup if I can find one o
mc_sales ecause I usually have 2 heavy days and then 3 or 4 light ones, and I think this cup might get a bit irritating for those days. So, other than the obvious - a smaller, softer MeLuna - does anyone have a favourite "lighter days" cup? Something with a similar shape would be awesome because I find this one really comfortable.
