Sometimes my cup leaks before it is full and I wonder if it is because my cervix is taking up room.

Also, I hear so much about how many ml a cup holds.... when it is upright. I've never heard capacities when the tilt is taken taken into account and I've noticed if I tilt the cup about what I feel it is tilted when I'm wearing it the diva holds EXACTLY to the subtle thicker "lower rim" part. Is this what that rim is for and is that a trend on cups who have that thicker rim part?

"Full" for my cup is about 1/3 full to the top, yes it tilts and yes I have a very low cervix which sits in it. I have to empty my (large) cup twice in the same amount of time I could get out of a regular tampon. I use MeLunas which have thick rims, no idea if that's a factor though.

you might be better off with a slightly wider cup, compared to the other brands a large meluna is more towards to other brand's smalls. A wider cup with a round bottome like a large fleurcup or XL meluna would sit around the cervix more and still have plenty of capacity even when your cervix is sitting in the cup. :)

Thanks but I'm fine with how mine works, was just letting the OP know other people experience this too. I started with a Fleurcup but it juist didn't work well for me, and I definitely don't want to go bigger.

I'm never really heavy anyway, the most I have to empty it is 3 times a day. I use a mudium for the lighter days because it's smaller and more comfortable.

ahh no probs, I just thought seeing as you said you have to empty your cup twice in the same amount of time as one tampon that you might want some more capacity :)
