I've searched through the FAQ's, but I just don't get it or I don't get how to use livejournal.

I'm confused - is the cup supposed to go around the cervix? The pictures that came with the diva cup didn't seam like that.

I can get it in, but I don't know how to aim for anything, there really doesn't seem enough room to do anything. I try and push the walls of my vagina to get it open, but I can't move it around at all.

The first time, I had it in for 12 hours and didn't have any leaking and it was half full. But since then, I've been lying in bed all day and when I get up to go to the bathroom, I immediately leak a lot and I take it out and it's not that full. I've finally put a tampon in because I'm tired of getting blood all over changing it every couple hours.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

leaking cup
Hi, Some women find using the punch down fold and facing the punched side away from you while inserting the cup towards your back (not upwards) can help the cup open up and create a seal better ? Just a suggestion. I also find rotating the cup around 180 using the base helps as doing this releases some air which helps with suctioning and ensures the cup is fully open. Nudge it in a bit until it feels comfortable after you do this using a rocking action.

Not sure if this is any help... there is also a post about this problem on the Menstrual Cup Friendhood site - Melissa from Zanashop replies to member with lots of info. The post is titled "Diva Cup leaking" if you wish to take a look at it.

Good luck with it and hope you find the solution soon, Bec
