Hey everybody!

Is there a possibilty that the position of a cervix may vary from month to month?

I often have problems with placing my cup (I have a lunette) in the right position on my first day of my period. On my first day I often have leaking problems. But there are also months that I don't have any problems at all on my first day of my period. On the second, third fourth and last day of my period everything works fine. The cup is in the right place and I don't have any leaking problems.

I find it a bit frustrating that sometimes I don't have any problems and sometimes I do. Leaking sux :(

Greets,

Sinanja

As cervixes tend to move around/lower during a period, it is a possibility.
Have you tried loacting your cervix during your period on different days to have an idea of where it is/where to aim your cup towards?

you could be slightly missing your cervix, which causes the leaking. or the leaking could be because on some days your cervix is lower and is taking up some cup capacity. :)

if, after trying the above for a month or two, a slightly wider round bottomed cup might fit you better. You don't say what size lunette you have, your age/whether you have children/if you have weaker or very athletic pelvic floor muscles as these factors can all contribute to leaking problems or whether a different cup might be more suited to you. :)

The cervix moves from month to month and throughout the days of your cycle. When you put it in, if you can you should try running your fingertip around the rim of the cup to see if it is around your cervix.
