Did you guys know about this?

Am I late? 3 years ago I was trying to come up with a design for something like this, not knowing it already axisted!
Those of u with squirrel bladders should totally check it out.
And if u decide to get one, dont pay $30 for it, i suggest u shop around. 30 seconds after i found out about it, i found one on ebay for $3.99 - 0.50 shipping just by typing the words "female any time toilet" haha :D

And btw, next time you get an idea for an invention, get it patented! I know im not the only one who thought about menstrual cups without knowing they actually existed.

Ps: sorry if I cant post this here, i thought most of u would benefit from it. I'm kinda new here :) been lurking around without an account for a while :p

Yes, it's a pretty common design. LadyCup makes one (called the LadyP), and there are several other variants on the market. I first ran across them as a Girl Scout. This reminds me though that I should actually buy one before going someplace where they have squat toilets again.

(what's wrong with squat toilets?)

For real xD
To me its more like a "there arent any bathrooms around" thing.

I tend to wear long skirts when travelling (cool, comfortable, etc.), so squat toilets are a real hassle to keep the hem of my skirt out of other people's pee.

yes to this, I always wear dresses so... and even in trousers I would find it difficult. I can't 'hover' or squat over toilets, it just goes everywhere! especially if the coach is moving... :(
Sarcasticia Nitpickersontisiphone on September 5th, 2012 11:02 am (UTC)
And my own pee, too, of course.

Yes there's also the pstyle and the shewee (although these narrower ones look more messy to me than the ladyp style!)

they'd be great for manky public loos/coach toilets! :)

I don't know when the first one was invented or whatever. But I first heard about funnels that women could use to pee standing up when I was ten(I'm 23 now). So they've been around at least a while. Anyway, there's the GoGirl, urifemme, pstyle and lots others like the other commentors mentioned.

Woow! How did i not hear about them? Its like i've been living in a cave.

Eh... I first learned about them a long time ago yes, but I didn't hear about them at all again until just a couple years ago. I'd probably like to get one for traveling as well, just going places in general it would be nice, no more hovering over gross port-a-potties!

They're pretty awesome - searching Stand to Pee device might pull up more options, too. I have a Pstyle and was able to use it about a half hour after opening it and never had a problem (ie, low learning curve). They're pretty rocking.

I love my pstyle.... though truthfully I have never used it for me. My 3 year old daughter wont use a port o potty because clearly every rude person who has ever existed went before her and didn't flush. Using the Pstyle she will use it.

I really like the ability to not need to spread with the trough style over a funnel style.

I also own a go girl but it totally looks less friendly to my little girl.

Your post title made me laugh! When I saw the words "detachable penis", that immediately brought to mind the silly song and also the Fenis from Early to Bed, which does really look like a detachable penis.

i thought of the cup that looks like a dildo...
greanfreekgreanfreek on September 6th, 2012 02:23 am (UTC)
Which one is it?
greanfreekgreanfreek on September 6th, 2012 10:49 am (UTC)
Oh yeah ive seen it, though ive always thought, what's the "head" for? Keeping it clean when not in use? Or... ? o.O
m03m on September 6th, 2012 01:03 pm (UTC)
I think the designer thinks that this shape would make it easier to insert. I'm not sure that she realises that other cups are folded for insertion.

It's not for keeping it clean, because in theory the tip is pulled inwards once it's in place, making it into a more traditional cup shape, but double walled. So any dust that's on the tip would end up inside the cup.
greanfreekgreanfreek on September 6th, 2012 02:11 pm (UTC)
Wow thats clever. Great for beginners. But removal tends to be more difficult than insertion. Is this "cup" easier to remove as well? Or is it vaccum-y like the others? (Does it even have any holes?) Wow so many questions lol also, doesnt the extra layer make it extra small in capacity? I wouldnt trust this cup. But it does look fun lol

I have a P-style found on Amazon and LOVE it! I even had one of my favorite cloth pad seamstresses design a special PUL lined case for it. I take it everywhere (camping, dirty bathrooms, etc)!!

I am a huge fan of my pstyle. It saved me at Burning Man last year. So great for festivals or hiking!

IIRC, She-wes were promoted at music festivals in the UK a good few years back. You can still buy them at festivals, I believe, but they don't seem to promote them as heavily now. I've heard they're brilliant (from a lady cyclist at the time that loved them and thought they were the bees knees)!

"and don't pee facing the wind!"

I have heard of these....but really maybe I should get one. I don't often find myself without a toilet....and I have no problem squatting over a vault toilet. BUT I suspect I am not the only one who has squatted in the woods before and peed on my own pants! UGH so awful. Hmm. maybe should purchase one!!!!
greanfreekgreanfreek on September 8th, 2012 09:11 am (UTC)
Exactly, and not just the pee all over yourself thing, but also the fear of having a bug crawl up your *
