Hi cuppers! Sorry for the long delay, I was kind of finishing my master's degree :) I promise I'll be more prompt next month week. Anyway, here's some of what's gone on in the community this month!

Community business
Don't forget about mc_sales! That's the place to go to buy, sell, trade, give away, or otherwise acquire or get rid of cups :) We also encourage professional sellers and shops to post over there with sales, promotions, and other announcements.

Community goings-on
So this was a pretty exciting month!

- We've got some new cups to look at: the Organicup from Denmark, the mysterious Jasmine cup, and the upcoming but not-yet-released Femmycup.
- nocebo_domingo brings us a great review of the Mami cup, a pretty new cup from Italy.
- Cups in the news! (Or at least the gossip!) Cosmo says sex with your cup in is OK. And, Canadian Olympic swimmer Julia Wilkinson endorsed the Divacup.

One correction: Julia Wilkinson is on the Canadian Olympic team, not American.

large penis and vagina stretching...need bigger size menstrual cup?
Hello there. Sorry but im new here and not too sure where to post this?
Please can someone clear this for me?
I have a question, im 24 years old and never had any children. I have small menstrual cup and am worried if i might need bigger size because my partner has quite a large thick penis and fear he is stretching my vagina... today was heavy flow, and had some leakege (but cup wasnt full) im. sure it was in place... could it be because i am indeed stretched down there? And perhaps need bigger cup? I find it a bit insulting to buy a larger size for some reason... :(

Thanks. X

Re: large penis and vagina stretching...need bigger size menstrual cup?
Hi you should make this a post of its own, I 'think' by clickinG 'post to community' at the top of the page.

Sex doesn't 'stretch' the vagina permanently. but vaginal muscle tone/strength of pelvic floor muscles (weakened from age/having children, strengthened from lots of yoga/kegels/squats) can affect cup leaking and can be solved with a wider/stiffer/softer cup.

Leaking could be down to any number of things: you are slightly missing your cervix, or the 'leaking' is just residual slobber, or your cervix is sitting in the cup and taking up some capacity.

Re: large penis and vagina stretching...need bigger size menstrual cup?
don't feel insulted! there are virgins who use the "large" sizes, i'm one of them :)
here are a couple of links: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/advice/lets_let_this_be_the_last_word_on_worn_out_vaginas_shall_we

basically, the companies only say who NEEDS the large size for sure. and even then there can be exceptions. but most of those over 30 or who've had kids prefer the large. however a great many others CAN use the large size as well, especially if they have a heavy flow. they just don't need it if their flow is light or average, or even slightly heavy but not too much (this depends on the cup).

so don't be worried about that. if anything, your partner has helped you learn to relax and accomodate his penis in your vagina, so if you decide that a wider cup can be a better fit, it shouldn't be a problem.

don't automatically go for the large size of the brand you use, though! there's no real correlation and these are just names. some companies call large what other companies call small XD see the sizecharts and try to figure out what should work for you.

Hi <lj-user = "sierrakate">! We're aware of the Ruby Cup and the community loves the idea. I'd recommend making your own top-level post to the community with this information, as it's not likely to be seen here.
