I've been using my DivaCup for just under a year now, and I think I'm ready for a new one.

For the past two periods I've noticed that it tends to be very stiff. When it pops open it feels, frankly, like I'm being kicked in the crotch!
So I was wondering what you guys would recommend that might be a little bit softer. Not too soft because I still want it to open properly. I also want to make sure all materials are safe and non-toxic.
I've considered Lunettes but they look really long, though I'm told DivaCup is one of the longest. I don't have any special needs in terms of length, though I don't really want to go any longer than the DivaCup. Also in terms of size I'm not too worried, although I do tend to have heavy flow due to PCOS.
I appreciate any input.

compare your Diva to other cups using the comparison photos: (look at the latest sets of albums as well as the Diva album as not all the newer cups/new styles are in the Diva album)

also compare the length and width dimensions with the size charts :)

have you had any other problems with your Diva? (leaking etc)

edit: remember you can trim the stem so compare the body length with your Diva, :)

Actually Lunettes are shorter with a long stem. The large is firmer than a Diva, while the small is slightly softer. Longish and soft (although shorter body-wise than a Diva), I'm a big fan of my large Cuplee. Miacup should be very similar. Naturcup is V-shaped too, soft body and firm rim. Also I don't think soft cups really are difficult to pop open, many people say that about the Diva, and Melunas, or just any other cup, but actually my personnal beef right now is with the classic Meluna, not so much with the soft. So... it's all a matter of practice really. If I were you, I'd avoid picking a drastically shorter cup, and look for a similar to higher capacity, just to be on the safe side.

Edit : Have you tried running the cup under warm water just before insertion ? It should make it softer.

If you want something softer then maybe a ladycup or a soft meluna could work. As for lunettes the small is quite short but the large is longer but a very stiff material also a miacup might be a good option too.

Thanks for the advice guys.

No, I haven't had any other problems with the DivaCup. I don't even really have a problem getting it to pop open, it's just that when it does it hits my vaginal walls so fast it hurts (sometimes).

I think based on the chart I decided to go with the Fleurcup. As for cup length, I'm not too worried about that I just don't want one longer than a DivaCup and not many are.
