Hi Everyone!

I know some people suggest "sunning" your cups for discolouration, smells, etc., but I was wondering if it's ok to sun coloured cups. Do you think the sun would cause the colour to fade over time as it does with clothes and other coloured items? Also, how long do you sun your cups for?

Thanks for your help!

yes, all cups apart from the Melunas can be sunned. afaiu clear Melunas shouldn't be sunned either, so it has nothing to do with colour.

sun it as long as needed/possible. i think the minimum is like one day - if it's not enough, leave it in the sun for another day if possible.

Ok, great. Thanks! Though I haven't sunned it, I noticed my Lunette Selene seems to have faded a bit over time (or it could just be my imagination!) so I just wanted to check to make sure.

What you describe sounds like minor staining. like, not as noticeable as brown stains but still there. especially if the colour is now a bit yellowish..umm, greenish as it's a selene.

I don't know about colored cups since both of mine are clear, but I "sun" them for 4 days, and give them a quarter-turn at the end of each day. That way the sun hits each side. :)
