I had a Small Ladycup for 3 years, I loved the cup. However, it got a crack in it and started leaking. Quite sad. But I ordered another - same size but different color. Anyway, this is my first period with the new cup and I'm having leak issues. Unfortunately I disposed of the first cup since it had a hole so I can't compare the old and new as far as size. Did Ladycup change their product? I don't know what else could be causing the problem since its the same cup and same size I had been using for years. Any ideas?

I don't have a Ladycup, and I haven't heard of any changes over the last 9 months or so that I've been reading posts on this comm.

Most likely, your body/flow/cervix position has changed, if not indefinitely, at least for this period. I'll add that the small Ladycup is one of the narrowest, lowest capacity cups on the market : http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/

So it's not likely to help should your cervix move or your flow increase. Try to determine whether it's leaking like it wasn't there, which means it's missing your cervix, or if it's overflowing after some time (even if it doesn't look qite full), which means you need to empty more often on those odd days the cup misbehaves. And perhaps, re-sell your cup and look for a wider, higher capacity cup from there.

you can still exchange it for the large size. which you can even sell unused if you research and decide you need something different (the "going up a size" thing is just the companies wanting everyone to think that there's some correlation between large&small. in reality, a large of the same brand is quite rarely the best solution.)

here I copy you their conditions i got straight from them:

"Guarantee for the material is 2 years. The lifetime of the product is up to 15 years, given its regular and proper maintenance. In case you choose the wrong size, we will replace your LadyCup free of charge."

I dont think LadyCup change anything but 3 years has passed, may be you have changed a bit and need a slightly bigger size. May I ask how old you are?

Maybe, but my June 2012 period the small Ladycup worked fine. My July 2012 period it didn't. Seems weird that my body would change that fast.

I realize that the small Ladycup is one of the smallest cups - that's why I chose it. I am pretty small and I have a very light flow. I empty the cup everyday for hygiene - but capacity wise this cup would probably hold everything all 4 days.

We'll see what happens in August.

Sure, well it's not unusual to have a weird period once in a while. Most likely your cervix was sitting in an unusual spot. Hopefully you'll be fine this month. Just be extra careful it's inserted right.
