I am curious about trying a the sea sponge in addition to/ possibly instead of the cup. Has any one in here tried them? Any feedback? How much do they absorb? Any leaking? Is it enough to just use that??

I've used them, but only ever on really light days like at the end of my period. I think they work okay but I wouldn't trust them on a heavier day.

I can't imagine how you could use one in addition to the cup, to be honest.

I meant like using a cup on heavier days and the sponge on lighter days... using them both in combination, not at the same time!

Oops. Sorry... I always take things so literally!

IDK how you'd use one WITH a cup, either.

I have used them. I like them. They're pretty absorbent. Easy to have sex with them in. The interesting thing I noticed when first getting the hang of them is that any leakage was almost clear. Not sure how it happens that the sponge caused separation, but there it is.

I've read a few times that they are not that safe since they can contain sand, grit, bacteria, and various other contaminants since they are natural. My thought is that with the state of the sea these days I am not sure I would use it. I used to clean my face with baby sea sponges, when they are wet they reduce to nothing so I imagine it would be difficult to get it out of there. I wonder if it could break easily, if a piece stayed inside it would be very hard to see and potentially dangerous. I dont know that's just my personal opinion.
