Sock Be A Lady Tonight

Hey all you lovely cuppers out there. I am curious if any of you can give me some advice. I happily own the model 1 Lunette Selene and absolutely love my cup. I have no problems whatsoever with it, mostly thanks to lurking on this community and reading all of your lovely advice beforehand. However, I like to have options when it comes to what I am using. That's why I am here.

I am going to (hopefully) be doing some traveling in a year or so (and not being in the states for an extended amount of time if all goes well) and I'd like to have more than one cup with me when I go (backup cup, maybe a different color if I don't want blue, things like that, y'know). What cups are similar in size to the model 1 Lunette? If it is slightly smaller than that, that is fine too; I do my kegels so I don't think there will be much slippage if it is slightly smaller.

Thanks in advance!

ETA: The only reason I asked this is because I prefer to hear from experience, not judge a chart.

I have a few cups and would always compare them to each other when I got them (cause I'm a nerd like that). Anyway the small ladycup is pretty similar in size and shape. Plus it has plenty of pretty colors! What I don't like about it is it's hard to get a grip on (it has bumps not rings) and with a top and bottom row of holes it doesn't hold as much. I also have a small yukki that is very similar. It's nice but I got a lunette so I could have pretty colors :) </p>

Those are the only ones I can comment on!

Thank you! Thankfully (or is it luckily?), I don't fill the cup all the way up, even on my heaviest day(s), so I think the ladycup may work as well, even with the holes. I don't mind it not having rings. I don't use the rings to grip much, anyway. I'll look those two up and see what they're like.

I own a large Lunette and a large Fleurcup. I purchased both because they were the same size (that was suitable for me), had large capacities (very important for me) and were both generally easy to clean. My curiousity was with the stiffness- I was not sure if I wanted a stiffer cup or a squishy cup, so I purchased both. Now, that I've tried both I can say that I still don't have a preference.

The Fleurcups are similar a similar size to the Lunettes and also come in many colours. I don't think that the squishiness is much different either but the larger Lunette is much stiffer (8) compared to the small. The Fleurcups are around a 2 for stiffness.

Also if you are happy with Lunette maybe just get a different colour.

Thanks. I'll check out the Fleurcup as well.

I may wind up getting a different color Lunette as well, but I do want to expand my horizons when it comes to cups and what I own. Plus, I'm attempting to convert my mother and sister over to cups...so having options and knowing about them may help in that process!

Good luck converting your mother and sister:)

Remember though that everyone is different and what works for you may not work for your family members. This webpage is full of wonderful advice for finding the right cup and if your mother and sister are interested they should look here first.

Oh they are not interested. That's the thing. My mother says it's "disgusting." Oh well.

Lol, I think sanitary pads are disgusting but each to their own I guess.

I thought that you'd have better luck with your sister. Well, at least you tried.

I think a small ladycup would be quite similar, may be a tiny bit smaller and softer. Here I took a pic to show you http://menstrualcup.co/communitypics/lunette1-ladycupS.jpg

I actually bought a ladycup and plan on using it this period. Going to put it through the ringer and see how well it works out with my heaviest day.

Ok! let us know how you go, the small ladycup doesn't have an amazing capacity but the Large one is perfect, I never had a problem with it with a fairly heavy flow.

lukcily, even my heaviest day doesn't fill my Lunette completely when I leave it in for 12 hours. I say it's a "heavy" day because to me it is.
