I'm halfway through my first cycle using my Divacup, and I am officially a convert!

Yesterday was my heaviest flow day; I would overflow an overnight pad in 2 hours, or more recently, go through a super-plus tampon in 3 hours. I emptied my cup every 6 hours, and that was mostly paranoia - it wasn't quite half full yet. Today I would need a new super tampon every 3 hours; the cup was only half full after 8 hours. And absolutely no leaks, even overnight. I'm calling it a win.

I agonized over whether to buy a cup or not; $30 and up is a lot of money for me. I finally went for it when I realized that if I could make it work it would pay for itself in 3 months; money saved by not having to stockpile tampons. I wish I'd had one of these years ago; it would've saved me so many tears of frustration and upset, not to mention worry about whether I would be able to buy enough each month...

I'd also like to say how thankful I am for this community; without the comprehensive info and advice gathered here, I probably would've been too discouraged to even try. So thanks, everybody!

It's great you're a convert!

What I really wanted to say though was I love your icon-- I have that image on a postcard I was sent from france, years ago, I scanned it in and made it my avatar on Gmail. I've never seen it anywhere else! Sorry that's so off topic :P

Off topic-related to that icon. My best friends have it up in their house as a framed poster. I want to say they ordered it from all posters or the like. If you like it, definitely search- it's popular.

On-Topic- yeah for converting! I was the exact same way. Once I got over the initial sensation, all I could think is "where has this been all my life". Get ready for the part, where you want to tell everyone about it!

I was reading some older posts and came across this comment.

In case you didn't track it down, here's some info on the poster and its origins (from Wikipedia), along with a high-res scan of the poster itself by artist Théophile Steinlen.
