You insert the diva cup while laying down?

I just got one, and I've been trying for the last two hours to insert it. On my last try I laid back while trying and it slid in but then I remembered the instructions specifically said not to insert it while laying down and now I'm freaking out and trying to figure out if I should just take it back out or what.

I'm not in any pain or anything and I can still feel the stem but omg what do I do?! D:

I was lying down the first few times I tried it too...I have no idea why the instructions would say not to. It didn't work for me personally, but hey, if it works for you, go for it. There is nothing wrong with it.

I think you're fine : ) I've definitely put my cup in like that before and have never had any issues. No clue why they would say not to put it in laying down but if you can feel the stem, aren't in any pain, and it worked - then I see no issue

If it's in your vagina, it seems like you did it right to me.

Yes, that's it! If you insert your cup while lying down you might get confused and put it in your nose.

OMG I laughed so hard at this !!
I don't know who is the idiot at Divacup who wrote this... Maybe if you fiddle with your vagina while lying down, you might be tempted to play with yourself ?? :D

Seriously, lying down was my favourite position ever to insert my cup in the first few months !! IT'S SO MUCH EASIER THIS WAY (in my experience) ! I wish every new user knew about this.

I think it's totally fine. I don't usually insert that way, but when I do, my cup pops open *immediately* and I always get a great seal! Of course everyone's different, but I cannot imagine any reason not to insert lying down.

THIS. Exactly the same for me. Anyone beginning to use a soft cup should definitely try this.

Yes, it should be fine. A lot of people find it easier to put in that way.

Good grief. No wonder why some people have so much trouble with cups. The instruction writers don't know what they're talking about.

I could see it being an issue of your cervix shifting while laying down so when you stand up your cervix bumps it or you can't get a good seal or idk.

If its in, it doesn't hurt, and it isn't leaking then you're good.

Sometimes the only way I can get mine in the right place is to put it in while I'm laying down. I haven't had any ill effects.
