So the last time I got my period was the first time I used my divacup, and I had a ton of issues. Now I pretty much have it down it seems, but I have the most problems when it comes to sleeping on my first day or two. I'll wake up to leaks in the middle of the night. Is this a common issue? Also, on my second day, where I'm still bleeding heavily, maybe like 99% of the blood will we caught it the cup, but I'll feel that other 1% leaking out as the day goes on. Is this normal as well?

If the leaking is siginificant and only occurs after a while, it could be thatyour cervix is stealing some capacaity sitting inside of the cup, so when it's full, it leaks. Try flipping your cup inside out to shorten it on the first couple of days, but only if you're sure that it won't ride so high that you can't retrieve it (which it shouldn't if your cervix drops lower on those days).

Also, if it's just the 1% leaking soon after you emptied your cup, it might be some residual blood sitting around it. Unlike tampons, cups don't absorb. But yeah, some people have their cups leak in the middle of the night, just because it overflows at some point. You might need higher capacity.

I generally leak at night on the first or second day because it gets full. As for the 1% leaking, try what the previous comment suggested. Also make sure that your cup is fully rounded out and not slightly smushed. My cup used to leak when there wasn't enough air above the cup.
