Should anything be sticking out? I have the size 1 diva cup btw.

I have the same cup. The instructions seem to say that it should be sticking out but for me, it only works if it's higher up.

For me, it goes quite deep, especially in the first couple of days of my period. I guess I have a long vagina.

It's different for everyone but don't worry it it's way up there. And fishing it out gets easier with practice.

When I got a cup the stem stuck out. It annoyed me so I cut it off. Now nothing sticks out, and it is more comfortable.

If you find that the bottom of the cup (not just the stem) sticks out, and it's uncomfortable, then you might be better off with a shorter one (basically anything other than a Diva, I think).

IGNORE the instructions and all of the illustrations that come with any of the cups for them to "ride low." They make it look as if your cup is tiny and that there is a cup-length or more between the rim and your cervix. In reality, a long cup like your Diva will more or less fill your vagina and ride where ever it darn well pleases. That is usually (O) around your cervix with the height of your vagina determining the height of where your cup rides.

The Diva is the longest of all the brands of cups so if you think it's too long for you on your short vagina (low cervix) days, then flip it inside out to shorten it.

I don't own a diva but it sounds like you need a shorter cup- which is basically anything else.

Not sure if you have trimmed the stem, you could possibly try that if you have not done so yet.

It really depends how high or low your cervix is. If its high, the cup will sit up high. If its low, the cup will stay down very low. But in that case you can always trim the stem for comfort.

I have a diva cup ( 2) and the tip sticks out, it has only poked me once and I just sort of stood up and wiggled. I like the tip, for fetching it out and also pinching and feeling around to see that it has popped open. If it bothers you and you know that you can get it out without the tip or even maybe snipping half of it off that might help?
