Hi all
I had a hormonal IUD inserted about a month ago. I used pads for the three days the doctor said not to use tampons, but decided to try my cup again as soon as those three days had passed. I didn't really need to be reminded how much I dislike pads ;)

Anyway, I have a large and a small LadyCup, and decided to use the small one, which has always been VERY easy to remove for me, thinking that this would minimise the risk of me tugging on the strings accidentally. However, the cup positioned itself very oddly, and turned out to be really difficult to remove (partly because I was trying to be really careful). When I got it out I went searching for my cervix - it was quite high up, but not unusually so, but it also seemed to be angled differently. It almost seemed like the cervix was now at a right angle to my vagina. The cup positioned itself aimed towards the cervix, which was why it was hard to remove - it wasn't "in line" with the vagina... Anyway, I've only had spotting since then, so I haven't used my cup, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing? Was it just the manhandling of my cervix when the IUD was inserted that caused it, could it go back to "normal" after a while?

Edit: I was on hbc before the IUD as well, with the same type of progestin in as in the IUD.

I know the commenter above me has already kind of addressed this, but what kind of HBC were you on? The progestin only pill is the oral version of Mirena's hormone administration, and I noticed a lot of changes in my body when I switched from the regular pill to progestin only. My body is gradually going back to normal, so hopefully whether this is your uterus being irritated or your body responding to the hormones, it'll go back to the way it was.
