Can anyone with relevant experience tell me about the difference between the MeLuna regular and soft cups?
Specifically about whether the L/XL size soft cup would be ok to use at night or if it's more likely to leak than the regular one.
I'm looking to get the XL MeLuna to use mostly at night since my current smaller cup is really not up to it during my heavy days, but I need to know if it would be better to get the regular or soft version. I'd prefer the soft one for easier insertion/removal, but not if it's likely to get squished up and leak while I'm sleeping.

Thanks in advance :)

P.S. And if anyone would be kind enough to explain their return policy (http://meluna.eu/widerruf/) that would be awesome, as I don't know any German and Google translate isn't making any sense...

I didn't have any issues with my soft shifting and then leaking. My problem with the soft was getting it to open. Once it was open, it was fine. I ended up getting a larger classic because that style opens consistently for me.

Yup. I was okay with the soft for about two cycles, then I started having trouble getting it to open. I started using my classic again and I haven't changed back.

Good luck!

I don't know. I don't think that either the regular or soft versions are "better", but I found that the soft medium I tried did leak when I wore it for any length of time. The regular firmness MeLunas work better for my anatomy.

http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/2717255.html judging by this poll, there's not much correlation between leaks and stiffness, it's very individual.

(and if you're worried about popping open, have a look at this http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/2618390.html )

Wasn't there that other post a while ago, about sudden unexplained leakage, at night especially, and when getting up, that concluded softer cups are more likely to adapt and hold their seal ? I'm pretty sure I read something of the like.

Of course some bodies respond better to firmer cups, especially if you have pretty strong muscle tone, but idk, OP, how do you like the firmness / softness of your other cups ?

I'm no expert in the language of Goethe, but school forced half a dozen years of german classes on my brain, post the link and I'll do my best to answer your questions ? :)

Translation for you
Hi I am trying to quickly explain the "Widerrufsrecht"
You have two weeks to step back from the sellings agreement without having to give an explanation. You can do so by using mail, email (probably fax as well) but it has to be in written.
This is the option if you would like to return items kind of late and they would not be received the return shippment by the two weeks notice.
Let's say you have gotten your cup and you are not satisfied but it took you some more than a week to find out- you write an email to tell them that you will send them back. ith that email they know that they can expect a delivery from you and you did follow the rules. They know now that you had the idea before the two weeks passed.
Then you can send the items back and you are covered and not outside the deadline.
All you have to do - if you decide against the item- is notify them, to send it back and keep the prove (shipping #) that you did it in time.
You can not cancel the delivery before the items received you. You have to wait unless you literally have the item. Which means you can not cancel the order while it is on its way. If it is ordered and the status is "send" you'll have to wait, receive the item and then send it back. Well, they can not just stop the delivery, right?
The rest is basically the laws they have to respect and how the widerrufsrecht is put together.

Just as a brief information from me
I did order with them and they were very kind and polite and helpful. They sent me an little extra - a cute little plastic duck- very sweet. I did not have any problems. I am also planing on selling 2 (or could also be 3) unused, brand new cups. I orderd them for friends but they haven't picked up yet. Now they are free to go. I have to check were I put the bags and you might find them in the mens cup sale later.

Hope I could help you, and did not confuse you even more.
Pat
