So, my temp was way down this morning and I was slightly crampy and thought I might get my period today, so before work I popped my femmecup in, just in case. I've tried the punch down and C fold and C fold seems to open easiest for me, so that's what I went with.  I worked 5 hours, but took my son to his first football match after work, so I didn't get home for another 2 1/2 hours after that.  So, almost exactly 8 hours after I put it in, I decide to check my femmecup.  It was just about full, no leaking.  I've had mild cramps on and off all day, but usually I have really bad cramps the first 2-3 days of my period, so no complaints there.

When I took my cup on a dry run earlier in the month, I was a little worried about how far up there my cervix was, and how tiny my femmecup is, but my cervix seems to be much lower today, so no major problems getting it out.  All in all, a fantastic first day.   I'm not sure at what point today my period started, but I'm pretty sure 8 full hours at my current flow would be too much for this cup's capacity.  I'll use a pad for backup tonight, but I might think about getting something with a larger capacity later for the first few days of my period.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a positive experience with everyone.  You all have been a HUGE help to me, just by reading all the posts that were here when I arrived.  Thanks SO much!

Just to update: Definitely filled up over night. The slightest, TINIEST bit of a leak onto my pad when I got up in the am (10 hours later). I think The femmecup might even be workable on my heaviest of days/nights. :)

Okay, last update just in case anyone is reading through the tags and any of this is helpful.

I had next to NO CRAMPS at all with my cup. This has been, by far, my best period ever. You will never get me to go near a tampon ever again!
