Using cup AFTER yeast infection finished?

I've been using the Femmecup for around 3 years now.  I had never had a yeast infection in my life and during those 3 years of using the cup I was also totally fine.  However, I recently had a YI for the first time.  It started around 7-8 days after my period had finished.  I treated it with the medication advised by the doctor and it seemed to clear up in around 7 days and now I don't feel like I have any of the symptoms any more.

As the YI started so long after my last period finished, I am not unduly worried about re-infecting myself due to yeast on the cup.  I intend to boil it 10 minutes before using it again just to make sure it's clean in general but I don't THINK that re-infection with yeast would be a major concern in this situation, since it was never up there when I had any symptoms or even shortly before?

I suspect that the YI was caused because I used a new kind of soap.

My question is, even though everything feels ok again up there, should I use my cup straightaway again (my period is due tomorrow) or would it be wiser to use pads for this period since I had a YI during my cycle?

I'm not going to get too hung up over cleaning products (either for myself or the cup!) as I never normally have YIs and my immune system is normally very good and I don't know of any reason why it is compromised at all right now.  So I think it is best to leave well alone on that front.  I just want to make sure that I don't aggravate myself again too soon - I'm sexually active and as you know, YIs are very frustrating!!  >_<

Thank you for your help :-)
