I've got 3 things I'd like to ask you about. Without further ado, here they are:
- Any tricks for getting period-gunk out of the tiny holes of a Diva cup? I thought I was doing a good job with just squirting water through the holes, but after boiling it this month I noticed brownish flakes of something that was apparently coating the holes coming out of them. The holes are still stained darker than the rest of the cup, which makes me wonder if there isn't something more I can do to clean them out. One of the holes has a tear on the side of it because it was improperly punctured when I bought it, so I had to widen it myself and tore it in doing so. Needless to say, this makes it even harder to clean than the others.
- I noticed a weird perfume-y, synthetic smell coming from the pot as I was boiling my cup yesterday. It smelled kind of like dryer sheets. Should I be worried? Does silicone have a particular smell when it's being overheated?
- How does one insert a cup without pushing on the bottom. I tried to insert mine inside out today as it's a bit too long, but when I pushed on the bottom to get it up there, it just started rolling back in on itself.
Thanks in advance.
