Putting cup into yogurt to get rid of yeast

Ok, so sometimes I use my Divacup when I'm not exactly on my period because I have really odd bleeding patterns. (Don't ask) I've never had a yeast infection before but the other day after using it twice, I took it out and saw the cottage cheese like discharge. At first I didn't know what it was, but then after looking up my symptoms, I figured it was a yeast infection. It's a very mild one. I looked through the forum to see if I needed to throw my cup away and most people say boiling it for about 20 minutes should get rid of the yeast. I'm still deciding whether or not I should put my cup in some yogurt with LAC (live active cultures) just to be sure I can get rid of the yeast. While reading the forum, most people were uncertain of whether or not boiling works and I have no money for a cup and am not sure what to do to save my cup. :( Do you all have any foolproof methods that have worked? Could I just boil it or do you think putting into some yogurt might get rid of the yeast?

Thank you!
