cleaning in public toilets

i quite often leave the house for long periods of time (no pun intended lol) and i sometimes need to empty my cup in public, i have tried wiping with lunette wipes but just ended up spending ages in the loo and people were asking lots of questions lol, and i have tried taking bottled water, but sometimes i forget the water, and the bottle for that matter haha, and then i heard about some people that flush the toilet and hold their cup under the stream of water whilst its flushing. would this be ok to do if i were in this situation again?
