Removal drama!

Hi everyone,

I am new to the world of menstrual cups, and have just started using a Mooncup UK. Inserting is ok, if a little uncomfortable, and I can make a seal just fine. However, removal is the biggest nightmare! Three times now I have had to ask my boyfriend to help fish the thing out due to either the cup wandering up too far and getting lost or suctioning itself too vigorously so I just can't break the seal.

Today things all came to a head when I woke up having worn it all night with no problems and it had completely gone! Neither of us could reach it, but after about 20 minutes of me "bearing down" my boyfriend managed to grasp the stalk, but couldn't reach up any further to break the seal.
Eventually I went to see a nurse to remove it - but even she had to enlist the help of a doctor, who was rummaging around in there for about half an hour.

Is there something wrong with the way I'm built? I really want to learn how to use a menstrual cup as I've never liked using pads or tampons but it just seems like maybe my vagina is too thin or long?

A couple of days ago I ordered a Lunette Small in case it was just the Mooncup that wasn't suited for me, but now I'm wondering if maybe I'm just not suited to cups.

Has anyone had a similiar experience? And would you recommend I try out the Lunette, or cancel my order?

Thank you everyone!
