I've had my Yuuki for quite a few months now, after buying it to replace my Keeper. I love it! However, the stem suddenly broke off last night while I was removing it and I'm curious if anyone else has had the same problem.

The break was very clean, at the ridge closest to the bottom of the cup. There's still a little nub left. So, it looks like it didn't tear, but rather that there was just some kind of defect (?) and it just popped right off when I pulled. I haven't had it for very long (less than a year), and I can't think of anything that I could have done to it that would weaken the material.

I'm a little disappointed because I use the stem to make removal easier. Since my period just started I'm going to give it a try without the stem. I was able to remove it just fine last night, so maybe there is really no need for the stem. Just a little annoyed that it broke off at all!

I just looked up Yuuki cups on ebay and in the listing it says cups can be returned up to 8 to 12 months after purchase...has anyone returned their Yuuki? Were you able to get your money back or exchange it?

Since they're not terribly expensive, I might keep it anyway and buy another one with the stem in tact, but I'm just curious in case the lack of stem is really a deal-breaker and I'm not able to use it at all.

Aw that's unfortunate ur stem came off! Weird...
I love my Yuuki too : ) I think I had already cut my stem off before my period was even over the first time I used it. I find it really easy to remove- and comfy.

That's good to hear (about not having any problems removing it). My cup tends to sit pretty far in too so my first thought was "well...this is going to make things difficult". So far I haven't had too much trouble removing it, but my flow is light right now...usually on heavy days I [still] have trouble removing it without making a complete mess. I have a feeling that the lack of stem will make things worse. Who knows though, it might be just the opposite! That would be a pleasant surprise.

Wow, it just snapped off?!? Whoa.

What you mind posting pictures of that?

I would try and contact Yuuki.

This. If there was a defect, the company might replace it. :) There's been posts in the past about the old style meluna's breaking off around the stem and a split fleurcup, but nothing about yukkis as far as I can remember.

Haha, sure, I'll update the post with a picture later.

Thanks for the picture. I agree that it's a defect! It's such a clean break! I hope you hear good news from Yuuki, if you've chosen to contact them.

Ditto on contacting the Yuuki people.

Sorry your stem broke off. That's a nice clean break though. It left a perfect little nub that could still be used. Yeah, you may want to contact Yuuki if you need the stem for removal.

if you don't get your money back you can get at least some from selling your cup at mc_sales to someone who doesn't need a stem anyway:)

I am right now trying to contact yuuki because my stem broke and I need to find out if it is under warranty. I have an extremely high cervix and I need the stem. So far they haven't sent me a reply.

Re: yuuki
I was wondering if anyone else had had this problem! I actually ended up finding that the cup worked even better for me without the stem, so I decided to keep it without pursuing a return/exchange.

It's really unfortunate to hear that they haven't gotten back to you, especially since this is definitely a defect and you should be able to get a replacement. Did you buy your Yuuki through their ebay store? Maybe put in a complaint there if they continue to ignore your messages?

Re: yuuki
No, I bought the cup directly from Yuuki. I'm on my 2 e-mail.
From some of the post I read I may not get a reply. So I bought a Fleurcup set as a replacement. I was just about to buy a second Yuuki cup when the stem broke.
