Hey everyone! (note newly aquired political correctness)
I am looking to buy another cup that has similar stiffness to my size one Diva. I have a Lunette Selene and the thing is just too darn stiff for me. I know there was a stiffness chart floating around recently, but I can't find it. Can someone post the link for me please? Thank you in advance!
In the interest of making my post more interesting, I thought of asking a question that I don't remember seeing before---How many women have you converted from other methods of menstrual products to cups? I have converted seven women and I am really proud of that! What about the others in the community? Has anyone been keeping count like me? I look forward to hearing your responses!

sorry i don't have the link for the stiffness chart link.

i've informed at least 15 people about cups and cloth pads...as far as I know 4 people have made the switch to one or the other. There are a few that are on the fence. I just think everybody should have the knowledge, it's not my job to convert. I want cups and cloth pads to be as common knowledge as tampons and disposable pads.

I think this is the one you're looking for:

Scroll down past the size charts for the squishiness ratings.

Yes, that is the one. Thank you!

I haven't tried telling anyone yet about using cups. I told my boyfriend because I needed him to drive me to the post office to pick up my fleurcup and he thought it was gross, but I think he's kind of generally grossed out by the menstruation concept, and doesn't understand yet that I'm pretty comfortable with my body in general, and even curious about it.

I don't like the idea of "converting" people to cups. I've had some bad experiences of people trying to convert me from atheism and I really don't appreciate it. I find that the concept of converting people to anything holds and inherent disrespect for the person's prior decisions, and the thought they've put into the subject.

I am open to INFORMING people. Eventually I will probably tell my sisters about it. I do know that cups are not for everyone, for a variety of reasons. I know someone who tried them and wants to like them but there just isn't one that's small enough for her. She experiences a lot of pain when she tries them. On the other hand, I probably know plenty of people who would benefit from their use. I think some of my friends may be open to the concept, especially since some of them like to do things like camping, or already use OB tampons which seem to be popular among people who eventually switch to cups.

Large Fleurcups have a similar stiffness to small Divas, IMO. They have the same dimensions as large Lunettes too, if you like how the Lunette fits otherwise.
I've informed an unknown number of people. One person I informed wants to get one in the future once she works up the nerve. I bought another friend a cup for her birthday after she expressed interest, and she loves it. So one successful conversion. : )

Well of course I would never advocate ramming a concept down someones throat, but what I meant was just what was posted---I gave the information to many different women (several rejected it) and let them decide for themselves. I was given six free Diva cups from the Diva Cup corp when I got back from Afghanistan and gave them away to women I thought would like them. I am happy to report that all of them really like them, so no I am not forcing cups on anyone, and I certainly don't like the analogy of being a door-knocking religious zealot trying to change peoples minds about their beliefs, even though no one was suggesting that.

I remember when you posted that Diva had done that. I think that's AWESOME! Way to support our troops! :o)

Hang on to that Lunette. Stick it in your drawer. You'll appreciate its stiffness in a decade or so. If you like its size, the Lady Cups are nearly identical and much squishier.

I only know of one friend who has definitely converted. I think one of her daughters might have too. Another friend wanted to convert but after a couple of partial cycles, she decided she liked her pads better. OK, thanks for trying. A couple of other friends say that they are "interested" but haven't followed up to pick a cup out yet.

I use a small Lunette and have a small Diva as a "show and tell" cup, and I think their stiffnesses are pretty similar, with the Lunette being a little squishier. I assume you're talking about the large Lunette being stiffer than the Diva?

Also, I bought my cup in a two-pack with a friend, and though we both took a while to warm up to them, we're both fans of cups now. I recently found out my roommate and I both use cloth pads, and I'm working on getting her to consider a cup, too.

hazelwho -- Thank you for posting my blog link, you beat me to it, haha. Although I think Obsidian might have one too? Can't remember...

OP-- As far as people I know in person, I've converted a bunch of students at local colleges, my cousin, and 2 old friends from high school.

Online.... errm... I have no way to be certain, because people send me private messages saying they converted just from reading the blog, or watching the videos. But hopefully its a good number, lol.

Melissa I can only imagine how many users you have planted the "cup seed" in. Bravo!

How about a large Yuuki? It's a bit wider than your small Diva, but other dimensions and capacity are about the same, plus it's pretty soft.

Do you have a large Lunette? I have the small Lunette and it's pretty squishy.

Re: Mod note
Thanks for your edit - but could you please also remove the references to converting women with something more gender-neutral? Thank you~

And to answer your question...
I've told people about menstrual cups, but after that I don't push, and I have no idea if any of those people have taken them up.

I was basically the guinea pig for my partner when it came to cup use, though! She decided if I liked mine, she'd give them a try. Now we're both cup users, which is great on the pocketbook! ;)

Re: And to answer your question...
yeah same here, my mum was also curious but wanted to see me succeed with it first:D
other than that yeah, i also mostly inform ppl... and remind whenever someone is like "ugh i hate my period". and i tweet quite a lot about how much i love mine :D

I converted my sister to cups and she's on her way to using cloth pads (as cup backup). Like me, she had never heard of cups before but, since she's practical, environmentally conscious, and a relatively heavy bleeder, it didn't take much for her to give them a go. She's currently working on her best friend, but BFF is icked out by the idea.

Also, I placed several "free liner + shipping" cloth liner coupons (from Party in my Pants) in both ladies' bathrooms at my office. I don't know if anyone has actually taken advantage of the promotion, but several of the coupons were missing from the pile after a week or so. I'm hoping this means that I have a few 'stealth' converts.

My mom, my two sisters, and my aunt on my mom side are all using cups now. Even my grandma knows about them, and she said she'd be interested in using one... if she still needed to. :P
I'm pretty pleased that I've gotten four people excited about cups, in the four months that I've had mine. If the subject ever comes up at work, I'm pretty sure some of the people I work with would be interested, but it's not really something you bring up while serving food... :3
