Anatomy question

Not so much a cup question, as an anatomy question - hoping it's not inappropriate (or TMI!) since it was inspired by trying to figure out how my cup will work, once I get it.

In anticipation of using the miacup, I've been trying to... explore... and figure things out.  It's actually embarrassing how much I don't know about my own body!  After looking at some diagrams, I've figured out all the external bits.  But all the diagrams I've seen show the vagina as a straight passage - angled slightly backwards, sure, but basically straight.  But I feel more of a curve, in the front?  Maybe i'm just mis-interpreting what I'm feeling... or maybe the diagrams just oversimplify?   It feels like the cup would have to go in aiming slightly downwards, almost, and then turn round and up.  I've looked at so many pictures, and in a lot of them you can see what I'm feeling, at the entrance to the vagina, but it's never labelled so I'm guessing it's just part of the vaginal wall (see this totally NSFW page, http://www.the-clitoris.com/f_html/anat_indx.htm - it's the 1st diagram with labels, and the structure I mean is labelled "'Vaginal Opening")

It's not that I think there's anything abnormal going on there, I'm just curious :)
