Cervix seems longer then usual

I have been using cups for many years.  I consider myself a "old hand" at using them.

However, this period I noticed my Large Selene is resting closer to the opening of my vagina then normal.  I figured out that something was different when I put the cup in and it banged (painfully!) into my cervix.  I  I have checked and it appears that my cervix may be 1/4" to 1/2" longer then what is "normal" for me.  I haven't changed anything with my birth control methods or had any change in medications I am taking.

It is not uncomfortable or anything. But I was wondering has anyone ever experienced a period where the cervix is longer then usual on a normal period?
