Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster :)
I recently bought a diva cup, and although I love the idea and find it works well at the same time, its always way too close to my vaginal opening and therefore its kind of uncomfortable. I trimmed the stem completely off and have no problem grabbing it, although it seemed that when I had the stem still on it was in further but the stem poked me. I have no problem inserting the cup or getting it to open, its basically no matter how I insert it it always slips way too far to the opening and I feel it. I've been thinking about ordering a smaller cup thats not as long, particularly a MeLuna.
I was looking at the size small, but I have a few questions. I recently switched birth control and my periods have been pretty heavy again ( heavy to me, not sure if its really considered heavy or medium). I'm interested in the small MeLuna because its shorter than the diva and I'm hoping it wont stick out so much. Do you guys think that would be a good idea? Or should I get a Medium? Is the Medium still smaller than a small Diva Cup? Also, the soft and classic MeLuna's, would a soft be better for me so I don't feel it as much when I wear it?
I know I need to experiment with different cups, but I really don't have 30 dollars to spend on several different kinds, so I hope you guys can give me some advice :) thanks!
