When boiling...

I boiled my 'oldschool' (i.e. old design and unbleached) UK mooncup in the microwave this morning (thank goodness for cups during entirely unsuspected periods!!!). Anyway, normally, I use Milton so this may have been why I didn't notice this one before.
My cup, when it was done, had an opaque slightly whitish-milky tint to it while it was hot. This went away, of course, as it cooled. But I'm wondering does this happen with all silicone cups and I'm guessing it isn't anything to worry about?
