Trimming?

This may have been answered, but I haven't found it.

I just trimmed the stem on my Lunette Selene (sz small), and it is pokey now. I tried cutting it at an angle- didn't help, a nail file didn't seem to do anything at all. So now, my $40 menstrual cup that I've only had for about 4 months now...is pokey and uncomfortable. :( I only cut it because that area is a bit chafed and having the stem rubbing wasn't particularly comfy, but I only trimmed off the first 2 notches, instead of all 3.

Help for the newbie, please?
