Reading the charts...long vs hoop skirt...

Hello everyone :). SO nice to be around here. Everyone is so helpful!

So I have been reading the charts.

They are so good that my head is spinning LOL. Information overdrive :).

I looked up the archives and searched through the tags and search feature, and found many posts mentioning the terms, but not an explanation: what is a hoop skirt shape versus a long shape?

I have a small Keeper Mooncup.

I am looking for one smaller in diameter, not sure what shape (don't understand the difference, advantage and disadvantages of hoop and long), the capacity is not really an issue (light flow in general, relatively speaking) and above all, I am looking for one that, being small, will have a squishy rim or whatever shape or type of rim less likely to put pressure on my bladder.

I read the charts, but have not found one that fills both the small size and squishy/soft rim issue. I am not sure how to read the charts neither due to not knowing what hoop skirt is.

Can anyone explain?

And if anyone has an idea of what cup hsa both a small diameter and a soft rim (whatever properties of squishiness or shape can create that effect) please let me know.

This is one of the few cases where I do not know what to do because I have too much information! curious! :):)
