I am new to this forum and relatively new to cups. After having my second bub i found i had lots of trouble using tampons. They wouldn't stay put and because i seem to be passing lots of clots, I got a lot of leakage. I have a pretty heavy flow, especially in day 2 and 3. So, I decided to finally try a cup. After much research I ended getting a Moon Cup (UK). I love the idea of a cup and desperately want it to work. However I find it is very hit and miss. I am on my third cycle with it and have just realised that my cervix seems a little low. When sitting on the toilet (this is how i insert it), my cervix is only about 35-40mm from the entrance (I'm on day 2).
I had so much leakage when having the cup in a comfortable position. And when I postioned it further down, it was effective, but very uncomfortable as part of the cup was protruding past the vaginal entrance. It also didn't suction there very well at times.
After reading some of the threads on here, I tried the inside-out method. It seems that this might be the way to go. It is currently in a comfortable position. Time will tell whether it will also be effective.
The problem is that can't seem to figure out whether the cup is correctly positioned until it is too late. It just confuses the hell out of me. Some people recommend running a finger around the rim to check whether you can feel the cervix on the outside, But I find that that breaks the seal and when trying to get a seal again, the cup moves and then I have to start all over again. It jsut all confuses me to no end. So any tip you can give me for a low cervix, is much appreciated.
