Does anyone back up her cup with like a pad, whether disposable or reusable? I'm just a leaker, I think, but my cup catches a lot of flow, it's allowed me to reduce the absorbency of my pads and/or change less frequently. Who else backs up? Also, perhaps a tag labeled "backup" might be good? Thanks.

Me!

I've actually been wondering how many of the people here back up, as well. Between residual goo and fear of leaks, I tend to have a pad or liner underneath- disposable for the moment, but I'm working on building up my stash of cloth liners- but I know some people go backupless.

I do. I have thick cloth pads for peak flow days and a bunch of thin cloth liners for the rest of the days. My flow is ridiculously heavy on the second and third day of my period.

I generally use a backup cloth pad at night, just in case.

I frequently wear a cloth pantyliner, especially on my heavy days.

I don't use any back up either. I just wear darker or uglier panties for the slight staining.

I don't use backup at home where I can run for the toilet at any moment, but when I go out I use a light pad or pantyliner.

i back up only during the night and day of my second day (if that makes any sense), as thats when its flowing like no tomorrow. use disposables. means i have to buy 1 pack every 4 months so quite good

Me too! Cloth doesn't work well for me :-(.

I don't back up. I use the cup, the whole cup and nothing but the cup.

Oh, and black underwear, but I always wear that anyway.

I do. With a cloth pad. It just catches the very little residual slobber, and in case I don't change it early enough and it actually overflows. I'm quite pleased with my arrangement (although ideally there wouldn't be any leaking, but whatever, this is still way better than tampons!)!

I don't, even when I have leaky times (like right now rassafrassin cup). I don't leak too much and I clean my knickers afterwards.

MOST months however I don't leak. Yay Mooncup! \o/

I use a backup cloth liner, because I get a bit of goopy stuff.

At night during my two heavy days, because I don't feel like setting an alarm for every four hours to get up to empty!

I do. Shields are usually enough but if I'm at my outside job on a heavy day, I'll back up with a full pad.
