Menstrual cup questions

I've had a Lunette (original) menstrual cup for about three years now, and I really love it. It took a lot of getting used to - I had a hard time getting it to pop open once inside. Even now when I insert it, I usually have to wait a minute or two to feel a pop that it's opened.

I also have an extremely heavy flow, and usually on my two heaviest days, I have leaks with the Lunette.

Unfortunately I just moved, and I'm so sad that somehow I lost my Lunette during the move!! And of course I just got my period. Blargh! I'm stuck on regular pads now, and I couldn't be unhappier. Yesterday I ordered a new Lunette selene (large) from Tickle Me Pink, and I'm happy that I should receive it by the end of the week.

Since I lost my cup, I've been back on this community researching cups again. I started to read more and more about cervix positioning and leaking. I checked for my cervix today, and I can feel it immediately. It's only like half a finger up. According to this, is there another type of cup I should try in addition to my large Lunette? And is the large one a better size for me since I have heavy periods? I'm interested in trying others.

I'm 28, no kids, heavy periods, low cervix. I've also been told before that my cervix gets irritated easily. Not sure if that has any relevance to cup type.

Any help would be great!!
