I'd just like to post to express my love for the divacup! And hopefully to convince anyone who's on the fence to give it a try.

I've been using it for a couple of years now. I remember when I first started to use it it wouldn't stay in place and would kind of lower itself and become INSANELY uncomfortable...but as I continued to use it it got more comfortable to the point where I can't even feel it anymore.

Of course, I still get leaks on my heavy days, but that's just due to me being lazy.

This summer I went on a camping trip to a really remote area without bathrooms or running water or anything like that. Five minutes before my friend came to pick me up, I realized that I got my period (it's nice and irregular like that)...so I took my divacup into the wilderness with me. I have to say...there is no way in hell I could have managed three days in the woods with pads or tampons. All I needed was a bottle of water and a five minute walk into the woods and I was set =)

So if I can manage to use this thing in the forest, you can manage to give it a try with plumbing!

Amen to this! One of first things I did with my cup was go cycle touring for 10 days and had my period for 6 of them. This was my third cycle with the cup and I went "bare" without backup and it was great! So much better than trying to cope with disposables! I never looked back!

I'm seconding this with both hands! Cups are awesome for camping.

Just be careful where you dump the blood...don't want any wild animals smelling blood near your campsite ;)
