Ice Water?

I have a large Fleurcup and I had trouble with it the last two cycles. I would leak at night. The first cycle with the Fleurcup was perfect I didnt leak at all day or night. I read on here that the cup becomes softer after youve had it a while. So, Im thinking that maybe when I first got the cup it was still really stiff and thats why it worked so well, it had a better seal. Me, being the genius I am, thought to put it in ice water to get it as stiff as it was when I first got it. Thus, working better. Have any of you tried this? How did it work?

Absurdly low cervix. anyone else have this issue?

Long story short:  I woke up at 4:00 this morning and had started my period.  It sure does explain a lot the last two weeks!  (My cycles are still regulating, even though Baby was born 18 months ago and it's been just less than 1 month since my last period.  So short, but still in my range of normal...anyway...)  After having issues with the Diva Large the last two? cycles, I'd posted and gotten some good suggestions.  So half asleep, I tried cramming my Diva (inside out so it's shorter) up there.  But it was still squiggly (the top of the cup, instead of popping open to form a circle, was more like a blob/cloud).  So I took it out and tried a different fold.  Same thing.  OH YEAH.  I remember.  I'm checking my cervix.  I'm quite sure it's lower (which makes sense b/c sex was absurdly uncomfortable yesterday...sorry if TMI for some young ladies out there) but have never actually checked (as I'm quite uncomfortable putting my own fingers up there...even when inserting the Diva, much less just poking around the engine to figure things out.  But it's a necessity to figure out why I'm having these issues, so here goes).  I'll admit it takes me a few minutes to figure out what's goign on.  And then it clicks.  My cervix isn't just low.  It's ABSURDLY low.  We're talking absURD-LEY LOW!!!  The tip of my cervix is just about breathing fresh air.  No joke.  At all.  The tip of my cervix is right at the edge of my inner labia.  So...I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to make this work...  And shabam!  So I try inserting the cup (inside out stille, especially now that I know how little room I have to work with today) with barely a crinkle (aka, I couldn't fold it at all otherwise my cervix would be on the outside).  It takes a minute as I have to make sure my whopping cervix is finally contained (aka inside of the cup).  This is the most comfortable I've experienced the Diva thusfar.  Maybe this was my issue all along???
Previously, I tried different folds, but no matter what it would leak (sometimes a little, sometimes a lot).  When I walked too much, walked to fast, rode my bike, etc (and I walk/bike to work each day), it would push itself out and I'd rush to the bathroom right away.  Plus, it was uncomfortable.  Sometimes to the point of being painful.  Maybe this was my problem.  It would make sense (be uncomfortable, not hold any blood, "fall" out) if my cervix was on the outside of the cup.  I guess I just never figured it would be that low...  And I know in a few days it'll be much higher up than it is now...
But any suggestions for someone who's like this?

Searching for a new, more comfy cup

Hey everyone,

I've been using my Mooncup UK, the smaller model, for almost 5 years now and it's a good improvement compared to tampons or pads.
The only thing I don't like about my cup is that it's somehow putting pressure on my bladder and I often think I have to pee and when I try, I don't have to. Also, sometimes I start to ignore this pressure because it is the whole time and then I realize that I have to pee when my bladder has gotten really full. Does anyone have similar issues?

I wonder if a softer cup would solve the problem for me. I'm thinking of buying a Small LadyCup or Medium Soft Meluna or Small Lunette since these are easy to get in Germany and I heard they are easier to clean than other cups. I really don't like cleaning the lettering in my Mooncup.

So I want to try out a new cup which is easy to clean, softer and has about the same length than my Mooncup UK, I can't get a longer cup since my vag is kind of short or my cervix is low. I was content with the capacity of my Mooncup, I think it got too full only once or twice in the entire time of using it.

Let me know what you think, please :) Any cup suggestions or tips for the urination probs?

Mourning loss of first menstrual cup :(

Today at work, I was emptying my Diva cup into the toilet and it slipped and fell in! Gah! I was going to reach in and get it, but the water was all murky with blood and toilet paper and I didn't want to reach into the disgusting fastfood restaurant toilet if I couldn't see what I was going for. That grosses me out a little too much. I did reach in and move around some of the TP to see if I could see it, but I couldn't. I vainly hoped it would be too big/floaty to flush down so I went ahead and flushed but it was gone, gone, gone. I'm so sad, it was my first menstrual cup and it's gone. I have been wanting to try a different brand, so maybe this has as silver lining. I kind of want to buy another Diva just so I can have one of my first kind.

While I'm here, I think a small Lunette is what I should get, but I wanna see what y'all think. I'm a virgin, 21, very low cervix, heavy flow. My cervix sits down inside of my small diva cup which causes it to leak when it's about half full. I've looked at the size charts and I think a small Lunette would be good for me. What do y'all think/suggest?
