Yuuki Tips?

My large Yuuki just arrived in the mail and I'm uber excited to try it out but my period is weeks away. I did a quick dry run and wasn't able to get it to pop open at all. Does anyone who uses a Yuuki have any favourite folds/tricks that makes it more likely to pop open (preferably not involving fishing around up there)?

Thanks to everyone who suggested the Yuuki for me when I posted about my issues peeing with a large Lunette but also needed something with high capacity. I managed to score this one for $6 (with $10 shipping) on eBay! I'll update you as my Yuuki adventures progress! :)

Take care!

Leaking cup?

Hey all, I'm new to cups. I posted in this community back in January when I was soliciting help in order to buy a cup that would work for me. Since then, I've purchased a Lunette Selene and I'm in love with it. At first, it took me a few tries to get it in right using the C-fold method, but after that, it was smooth sailing on my period...

...that is, until the flood gates opened.

I have a low cervix, a tight vaginal canal, but I'm a heavy bleeder. The first two days of my period, I would only fill up the cup half way during the entire day (I did empty it regularly, but total volume in the first two days combined was about a full Lunette's amount.)

From day 3 to day 5, I can fill up the cup in just 5 hours. On the heavy days, I notice that there's leaking. The cup's inserted well (at least to my knowledge), the seal is intact, and the cup is never full when I remove it. But when I do remove it for emptying/washing, my vagina continues to bleed. By the time I re-insert the cup, science tells me that my previously clean vagina walls are now coated in blood and that the few drops of leaking I feel is just that blood trapped between my cup and my body...slowly oozing down.

Am I right in assuming this? I just want to make sure there isn't a problem with the cup. It only happens on my heaviest days and it's only 4 or 5 drops at a time.
