So I was thinking about buying a menstrual cup (hence why I'm here!) and up until tonight had only ever heard of the Mooncup (UK Version, since that's where I am). On a whim, I did a Google search to see what others were available and was presented with a plethora of choices, and now I'm struggling to choose! Could anyone help me out? I'm 19 yo, sexually active, no children, using oral contraceptives, I have a high cervix (been told so by gyno), fairly narrow vagina and heavy, painful flow. Any ideas? I was liking the look of the Ladycup and the Lunette but would love to hear the opinions of some of you ladies who have actually tried them!
Just out of curiosity, what is the longest amount of time you've left your cup in, both intentionally and unintentionally?
Sometimes my cup has been in for about 12 hours (on my light/spotting days), but I'm lazy and think, "I'll get it next time I go to the bathroom." In that sense, I've probably left my cup in for up to 16 hours or so "on purpose."
I also once accidentally left my cup in for about 24 hours (maybe even a little longer). I popped it in because I was spotting due to birth control weirdness and forgot it was in. It smelled pretty funky, but otherwise all was well.
Just an idle question to pass my work day...
I am 21 years old, a virgin, I think I have a heavy flow (I can go through a tampon in an hour and a half and I'm anemic), and I believe I'm pretty tight. I'm not sure about the length. Which brand would you recommend? :) Also, I live in Michigan (not sure if that is useful, unless there are certain brands that are only available certain places).
OK ladies, here is one for everyone who ever owned a menstrual cup: If you could design your perfect cup what would it be like? Which characteristics are the best for comfort, fit, cleaning and design?
