First Time User!

What a great great awesome resource!!! I can hardly believe this community exists, it has answered soooooo many of my questions.

I do have a few, however, that I hope some of you could help me out with!

Background: 26 years old, virgin, small hymen at the back of my "opening".  Have the Keeper Moon Cup (USA). (JUST got it. Like have been using it for 3 days.)

OK, questions:

1. Like many, I hate the stem. Trimmed it a little, but that made things worse. It pushed against my inner lips, labia I think? Anyway, thanks to this wonderful community, I found the suggestion of turning it inside out to see if I could manage the no - stem removal process. Got up out of bed and did that, its currently in, but I don't feel I'll be having any problem. Will probably lop the stem off tomorrow. My question is, I am on day 2-3 of my cycle and I have read here that that is when your cervix is at the lowest. What if I find that it is easy to take out tomorrow and take the stem off, and then more toward the end of my cycle when my cervix is in its normal spot, its too high (long?) and harder to get out? EEK!?

2. Because I have that little half moon of hymen at the back, I prefer to get my finger up on the rim and like, fold it into a little contortion to get it out or it HURTS!!! Any suggestions for not having to go fishing up there. I mean I don't really mind if thats how it has to work, but I would prefer something not quite so messy.

3. How do I locate the posts on this site where other members are advertising cups they'd like to sell? I am interested in trying some different brands.......

Thanks in advance for all your help, and again, what a great great place to come for info on cups!!!

new small meluna and iud spotting

So I just got a Mirena 2 weeks ago, while on my period. my "period" has stopped and now i juat have a TINY amount of spotting. before I got the iud i was using a diva cup model 1, which worked for me okay, but i think i only got it cause it was available at the whole foods by my house, and i wanted to try one bad. so i bought a small meluna the other day, because i didnt feel i needed the capacity of the diva, and thinking it(meluna) would be better suited for iud strings cause it is shorter, and i thought maybe it would ride lower in my vagina and not ride up to my cervix... but now i think this is wrong, right? i mean arent all cups supposed to ride up to the cervix? I dont really think my strings will be an issue, since i can barely feel them, and i think they are curled up past my cervix(not hanging down). i read on melunas site that they were safe with iud's if the strings were short. i dont really know if mine are short or long, cause they are curled up. the doc said they were about and inch and a half i think... is that short? i dont know.
but basically i wanted to know if it is possible to wear a cup lower down if it still has a seal, or will it just ride on up there on it's own? like i said i dont believe it will be a problem, and i will still try it. just wondering
it would be great if someone actually uses a meluna and an iud to give me some pointers too, but it doesnt seem like very many people use the meluna(small)

I was the tampon supplier!

After I went through my first cycle with the Diva, I gave all my leftover tampons to a friend who was interested in cups, but not ready to try yet.  Another friend saw me handing off a full box of tampons and asked why I was going to pads.  I told HER about the cup and she was psyched!  She is currently researching what cup would be best for her.  She is really excited about minimizing the environmental impact!

I was out with another friend last night and her period decided to pay an early visit.  She asked if she could get a tampon from me and when I told her I didn't use them anymore, she was surprised and said that she could always count on me to have a spare in my purse.  When I told her about cups, she was kind of grossed out at first, but I think I may have another convert!

Meanwhile, I've got my Diva, I was looking for a spare and decided I couldn't resist the pretty pinky orange of the Lady Cup LOTOS.  Then, I get an offer for a LilacCup and of course I couldn't say no.  I think that will be it for a while, but maybe I'll pass on the Lilac to one of my converting friends.
