cup on my cervix

Hi ladies,

I am a first time cup user, just got my small Lunette in the mail.  I have been a long time researcher on this forum, and am super excited to make this little cup work!!  You and your cup stories are all so inspiring :)

So I am lucky enough to be on my period and have been using the cup for about 24 hours ... but I just freaked myself out when I realized about 30 min after my last insertion that the edge of my cup was on, not around, my cervix.  If that is what has been happening all day, then that might explain the leakage and perhaps the extreme emotional mess I have been experiencing all day.

Apparently my cervix has moved into a wierd hiding place back and up in there, and I don't know how to get my cup there without causing damage.  I have a Paraguard, and know that my uterus is short and just long enough to accommodate it, so am afraid that any trauma to my cervix could mess with my IUD placement.

I had been using a C fold, and had a hard time getting it to open, but it was when I tried a 7 fold that I noticed that the cup landed smack dab on the ol cervix.

Now I am kinda scared.  Ideas?

Menstrual Cups & TSS

I have heard that cups do not cause TSS-but a part of me worries about:
Keeping them in up to 12 hours
Washing them off with warm water and Diva Wash.

Is the Diva Wash enough to kill any germs so that the cup can be used again for up to 12 hours?

What magical occurance happens that if I wear my Divacup for 11 hours, remove it...wash it with Divawash and put it back in it can then be worn for another 11 or so hours?

Am I alone in wondering this?

Thanks!

new lunette model 2 compared with small mooncup uk

hello fellow cup users,
today i was lucky enough to get my new lunette model 2 in the mail, all the way from the UK (im in australia). i got if from a lovely lady on ebay for a little more than $30 Australian (bargain!).
for some time i have been weighing up whether to get another cup, especially now im coming closer to the borderline age for a larger model cup and sometimes my small mooncup uk just cant handle the amount of flow i can sometimes dish out (at times i am getting that bubbly full feeling within a hour of emptying my cup, to discover it was time to change again!).

anyways i thought i might take a few photos and comparison shots as it might come in handy to the community (hopefully) =)
