But since using my Lunette I figured that I'm saving at least $25 a month on pads and tampons...and so I donate that money to my Monday and Friday morning hot-barrister-guy-making-me-a-latte fund!! It's the best start and end to a hard week and really makes my day, and the coffee is all the sweeter knowing where the funds came from! When I first started doing it I couldn't keep the smirk off my face as I was sipping my delicious nectar!
So, what do you ladies spend your P&T savings on?
This past Thursday I saw Wicked and my peroid hit right after the group of us finished dinner. I didn't have anything with me for my period- and all those tampon dispensors in public bathrooms were empty. I must have asked ten women for a tampon before I found one who had a tampon. When I got home I saw that my diva cup wasn't where I left it- and took all of ten minutes to buy a new one. I was freaking out-cause I don't have enough tampons for a full period around anymore. And last night I found my diva cup. When I found it my friend dani was here- who thinks Cups are disgusting- and I was dancing and all excited about finding it. I think Dani nearly vomited at my excitement. SOOO! I'll have 2 cups soon. Wooo! haha.
Anyway my question- When I put it in I feel pressure down there for maybe 15 minutes after its in. Does anyone else feel pressure? Or is it just me? Is there anyway I can avoid it?
I don't know if anyone else can do this- but combined with mycycle.com I can tell where I am with my cycle by how my cervix feels- does that make sense and can anyone do that?
i've been reading the forum for a while and have found the information SOOO helpful. But i've got a couple of specific questions. i'm new to the whole cup deal - i ordered my first cup last month and its my first cycle using divacup, size 1, and so far so good. no problems inserting / can't feel a thing, no leaking .. but yes, it is still the honeymoon phase and i'm well aware of the possibilities of leaking etc.
but my questions ... i go to the gym every day (and really don't want to take a day off b/c of being new to cups) and my flow is quite light, but i would like to know if anyone has done pilates, yoga, bodypump or spin and how they coped. i've read the cycling thread and am quite confident about going to spin class tomorrow - but more importantly what about bodypump or yoga / pilates. the moves i'm concered about are things like squats or lunges? pretty much the moves where my legs are spread and gravety working against me ...
any help would be hugely apprechiated! :)

Thanks guys, i read all the comments before embarking on my gym journey, i practiced at home for a little, jumped up and down, did a couple sqats, downward dog, etc and decided that i was ready to try spin first ... and sucess - i was perspiring more than anything else and i ran to the bathroom after to double check - and wow - AMAZING ... i didn't even think about it while i was spinning (to much pain and out of breath) - and i was worried about the stem b/c yesterday i think it was a little too high that in different positions i could feel it. but no problems with that either.
next was bodypump *gasp* ... which is what i was a little more worried about - and i thought about it all through class, but it was only to get my mind of the pain of the sets, i actually didn't feel anything and it all worked out. i am fully impressed and am now a full convert. if only people told us about this sooner (im 24 and would have LOVED this in high school / college!) ...
thanks again !!! yoga is in a couple days, so fingers crossed (and yes, no upside-down for me -- although in a couple of days my cycle will be over i'm hopng ...)
I need the help of all of you menstrual cup goddess out there.
I really need some help with my cup – here is some quick info
Age = 15
Cup = Diva
So I have had my amazing Diva cup for a while now and have been having some major problems getting it to work. I can insert it snugly up where it’s supposed to go and forget about it for awhile until I go bright red and have to rush off to the toilet. Upon entering the toilet I discover that my underwear and pants have undergone some spontaneous redecorating and have decided on the new colour scheme of red. So that’s where I am going wrong … I had already decided that my periods don’t like me but completely bypass that nice Diva cup which I put there especially for it? Not nice at all. I think its not hard to see that this will not work for me at all if the cup doesn’t catch the blood, that is why I am asking all of you awesome “masters of the cup” to help me on my quest of using-a-menstrual-cup-without-getting-bl
Please I need help with this (I have a really heavy flow and get really sick of having to run to the toilet between every class to change my super tampon)
Any advice, help, tips, tricks, instructions, information, suggestions, directions or any other help would be really really imprecated helpful.
yep tried most folds, all seemed to work more or less the same but I had a bit of trouble inserting some of them.
Anyone else had this problem? I didn't have this anxiety-inducing sinking feeling until just recently.
I've been pouring over the size charts and descriptions for about half an hour now and I've only succeeded in confusing myself. Any advice right now would be great.
I use a UK Mooncup, but I'm looking to try one of the other brands. I'm 24, have had kids but I use a small size because the larger cup was too big. The rim buckled when open, causing it to leak, and I found I was much better off with my original cup, which I had before I gave birth.
What I want from a new cup is something softer. I had a look at the Ladycup, but the small size seems to be a tiddly option, whilst the large size has the same width as my buckled Mooncup UK.
Can anyone make some informed suggestions? Many, many thanks in advance.
It was like shooting squirrels with a cannon. Within an hour it smelt only of neem.
I really like the smell, but I'm aware lots of people don't, so give it a good sniff before you try it!
