A new Diva User!

So after sifting through this community, and asking some friends, I purchased my Diva a few weeks ago and I'm in that stage where I'm about to start, but it's not quite to the beginning yet. (Ever since I went on Paraguard I have a day or two of spottyness and then she comes-a-runnin)

Anyhow, I put my Diva in last night to just get the feel of wearing it around the house, and I've got to say I have NO idea why anyone would snip the stem off the cup! Even bearing down and whatnot, I don't have quite enough nails to grab on to the ridges of the cup to pull it out and it takes a good 5 minutes or so to get the darn thing out of me!

Insertion - no problem. Punch-down works best for me, haven't tried the 7 method, but I did try the C fold and it just feels like it doesn't open.

Removal - someone please tell me it's not going to rip my uterus.*

* I know it won't really rip out my uterus, but I'm sure some of you have had the feeling...

diva cup wash

I was happy to find that a local health food store now carries the Diva Cup, but they also have a product called the Diva Wash which is supposed to be to clean the cup and to be used as a body wash. The body wash bit seemed silly to me; it's expensive enough that I'd just want to use it for its main purpose. But I digress...

Has anyone bought this or had any experience with it? What do you think?

I'm sorry if this has been posted before. Feel free to delete.

Community Layout

I'm going to be messing around with the community layout. If things look funky or out-of-place ... that's why.

I'll update this post when I'm done.

[EDIT]: I'm done for now. My head hurts. If anything is outrageously wonky let me know.

[EDIT #2]: Okay, now I'm done. Tweaking comes later.

Leakage problems

Hello, this is my first post in a community!

This is my fifth cycle with the divacup, and I cannot get it to stop leaking. I insert it using the c-fold. I insert it most of the way and then rotate it to get it to pop open, then I push it up the rest of the way.

When I have it in, the cup always tilts to the left (so the stem is on my right, and usually jabbing me). I've trimmed the stem to about half its original length, but I'm a bit nervous to trim it any more as I use it in removal. After a few hours of having it in, it leaks a bit - certainly nothing a lunapads pantyliner can't handle - but I would like to be able to trust my cup enough to go without any "backup protection". When I take the cup out, it's usually not even 1/4 full. I can't understand why it leaks.

For those of you who've had a problem with the tilting, did cutting off the entire stem make it stop tilting and solve any leakage problems? I don't think I'd need the larger size - I'm a 22 year old virgin with a fairly petite build.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!
